Briefly about Omstillingsfonden
What is Omstillingsfonden?
Omstillingsfonden was established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science with the purpose of providing employees in the labor market with a skills boost.
Omstillingsfonden covers participant fees for further education and training, up to DKK 10,000 annually.
Funds are disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who can apply?
Employees in Danish companies who:
Wish to enroll in an academy or diploma module.
Has a vocational education, upper secondary education, or an equivalent as their highest completed education (Not sure about the level? Search for your education here and verify the level).
For specific courses, you can apply even if you have a Bachelor's degree.

You will need the following
Your Social Security number (CPR)
You employer’s CVR-number
Your MitID
Important steps you need to go through
1. Receive the message in e-Boks: "Tak for din tilmelding” and find the link to Omstillingsfonden
2. Open the message: “Tak for din tilmelding (htm)” and click on the link
3. Fill out your educational level
4. Provide employer details
5. If you HAVE NOT received a subsidy from Omstillingsfonden this calendar year, fill in the following
6. If you HAVE received a subsidy from Omstillingsfonden this calendar year, fill in the following
7. Send your application
8. Receive the message: “Tak for din ansøgning. Vi vender tilbage hurtigst muligt”
9. Receive the message in e-Boks ”Omstillingsfond tro- og loveerklæring skal underskrives” and click on the link
10. Have MitID ready
11. Receive the message in e-Boks “Status på din ansøgning om tilskud fra Omstillingsfonden”
1. You will receive the message in e-Boks: "Tak for din tilmelding” with a link to apply for Omstillingsfonden
2. Open the message: “Tak for din tilmelding (htm)” and click on the link
3a. Fill out your educational level
Fill in your educational background.
Vocational training such as: chef, waiter, receptionist, etc. is NOT considered a higher education in this context.
If you DO NOT have a higher education:
3b. Fill out your educational level
If you DO have a higher education degree that is at most equivalent to a professional bachelor's degree (MVU), fill in as below:
4. Provide employer details
5. If you HAVE NOT received a subsidy from Omstillingsfonden this calendar year, fill in the following:
6. If you HAVE received a subsidy from Omstillingsfonden this calendar year, fill in the following:
Educational institution: Write the educational institution you have earlier attended (Cphbusiness, Dania or Sydvest/Smart Academy)
Subject: Write the name of the course from which you received the Omstillingsfonden subsidy for
Amount: Write the amount of the subsidy you have received from Omstillingsfonden, e.g. DKK 5,900 (You have recieved a receipt with the amount which was granted to you in e-Boks)

7. Send your application
8. Receive the message: “Tak for din ansøgning. Vi vender tilbage hurtigst muligt”
Now the school's system will generate a ‘tro- og loveerklæring’ for you based on the information you just provided — which you need to sign digitally with MitID.
So keep an eye on your e-Boks :-)
